Where are you located?We are located at 5012 Talmadge Rd. Suite 200. We are approximately one mile north of Westfield Shoppingtown Franklin Park on the corner of Talmadge and Laskey, Northeast corner. Our business hours are:
Monday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday - noon to 8 p.m.
Wednesday - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday - noon to 8 p.m.
Friday - 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
Is this like other weight loss programs?
Mercy Weight Management Center is different from other programs. We offer a high level of support, structure, and education. Patients attend weekly classes and receive 1 on 1 coaching, focusing on lifestyle and behavior change for long-term weight management. Mercy Weight Managment Center has partnered with Health Management Resources (HMR®), the nation's leading provider of medically supervised weight management programs. HMR® has dedicated over 20 years to weight loss research and has assisted more than 900,000 individuals to lose weight and develop healthier lifestyle skills.
Do you accept insurance?
We are a self-pay program, however we do provide you with an itemized bill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. The staff at Mercy Weight Management Center can provide you with insurance reimbursement guidelines and documentation of your participation in the program if needed.
How much does it cost?
The program fees vary for the program depending on how much weight you want to lose, how quickly you would like to lose the weight, and any medical risk factors. The programs begin at $20 per week plus the cost of your nutritional products and medical supervision if needed.
Do I need to eat special food?
Mercy Weight Management Center utilizes portion controlled, calorie controlled meal replacements as a vehicle to your weight loss while you are learning new skills and behaviors. There are several different diet options to choose from.
Are the food products available to anyone?
We do sell our meal replacement products to the general public.
Does exercise play a role in this program?
The program focuses on physical activity and movement as a key component of weight loss and weight maintenance. We are excited to be offering our patients access to the three Mercy Centers for Health Promotion to achieve their physical activity goals.
Do I need a referral from my physician?
Often physicians refer their patients to the program, however you do not need to have a referral to join.
How do I get started?
We offer free orientation sessions that provide you an overview of the different diet options and what you can expect if you participated in the program. Please call the center at 419-407-3990 for more information.
